Teufelsberg

In 22 years of debris dumping, the 114.7 m high Teufelsberg was created. A recreational area with a million newly planted trees was created until the US Army discovered the mountain. A monitoring system was created, which was mainly used by the National Security Agency (NSA) and later also by other US and British intelligence and security services. The Station also served as part of the global spy network.
